I followed the tutorial of the 'shatter' effect on the website video co-pilot to achieve this production company ident. It took me about three lessons to do but once you got into it it seemed quite straight forward. I chose to do the shatter effect because it kind of fits in with the thriller genre in which my opening sequence is in. I used the programme 'Adobe After Effects' to make the ident but once I had made the basic clip I transferred it into 'Final Cut Pro' and applied the slow motion filter, in other words extend the clip to at least five seconds. I then exported it from there and imported it into 'Soundtrack Pro' so that I could add some sound effects to it.

Soundtrack Pro- This is where I added the sound to the ident.
Final Cut Pro- This is where I combined the video and audio together and exported it out.
